Good evening to my wonderful network! I hope you have all had an amazing weekend. I wanted to excuse myself for the delay in this week's feature. As I mentioned in my previous post, I experienced some technical difficulties working from home Friday. The rest of this weekend has proved to be stressful due to unforeseen circumstances. I thank you to all that have reached out, for your patience and prayers. You are truly appreciated.
Young Latina talent is what Resilient Phoenix Coaching is highlighting for this feature!
Marielle Jaritza Pacheco; this young Rochester Native also known as Marlee, revels in self-expression via her art. Not only is she a talented self-proclaimed writer of short stories, but also a painter of nature, specifically the female body. The artistic spirit runs in her blood; her grandmother drew portraits, her great-grandmother was a writer, her mother a writer, her brother, a musician, and tattoo artist, just to name a few.
Marlee’s art expresses realism while evoking a sense of empowerment of the female spirit. Her sketches and paintings tend to have a sensual, and monarchic flair. I would have to say my favorite part of her work, is that it invites the viewer to see themselves from a different perspective. Take it from someone who has lived with body dysmorphia all her life. This young lady’s pieces leave an impressive afterthought; How do I truly see myself?
If the sense of inquiry her art leaves behind, is not enough to move the viewer, I do not know what is.
Marielle’s detailed style of writing encompasses an element of surprise that leaves the reader yearning for more. Experiencing her short stories is like getting a taste of an exquisite morsel of the sweetest dessert; in the blink of an eye, it’s gone. All you have left is the lingering aroma on your tantalized palette.
Please enjoy the writing & art teasers below:
If interested in any of her work, please feel free to reach out. Reality of Royalty was recently sold.
